• The Schmetz Microtex Needle (also known as a Sharp needle) features a very slim acute point allowing for accurate stitching in very fine or densely woven materials.
• The special blade shape also helps to prevent needle breakage and skipped stitches.
• Acute points are more sensitive than rounded or ball points, you should therefore check the needle for damage more frequently and replace it in good time.

The top part of a sewing machine needle – the part that is inserted into the sewing machine’s needle bar – is known as the shank.
